The Tie

DSC00310.JPG

My eyes are closed. And they look swollen. Weird. But this was me today, wearing a GAY tie that Gemma forced me to wear. That said, I did become quite attached to it. It's a nice look, I think.

I'm back!

Big big delay since my last post.

But here you go, a new photo. The state of England's Ashes campaigned is summed up beautifully by the expressions in this photo.

Michael

DSC00300.JPG

I have a standing ticket now...but this is the seating one that arrived in the post yesterday.

I really can't believe it. I'm going to see Michael Jackson next week. I've been ranting on about it for days now. People are past the stage of being sick of hearing about it. What can't seem to get across, though, is the significance of it all for me. Growing up I watched and listened to this bloke day after day. He achieved an almost mythical status with me. Michael Jackson was someone that existed on the TV screens and album covers.

But now...tickets to see him perform. Right in front of me.

Michael fucking Jackson. Woah.

They'll hate me for it.

Teddy

I'm back! My phone is working again (just) and pictures are sending properly. I'm glad.

I'm home at the moment, on a laptop in the newly created spareroom. My brother, Steve, moved out not long ago, hence the extra space. I told Dad that the room looked like the sorta place you'd spend your remaining days in before you die. Don't think he liked that, but if you saw it, you'd agree.

Maybe the photo should have been of the room then? Nah. This one is much better. Behold, Ladies and Gents, Matt's teddy:

DSC00292.JPG

The story behind this lot is that our Matthew has been seeing a young lady from around here named Emma. And she gave him this teddy, which Matt proudly carried down the road. We, naturally, used this as an oppurtunity to take a great deal of piss out of the man, and when his back was turned, poor teddy got executed.

He's ok though. We think.

Next week sees the return of The Linc, the university newspaper that I founded just before the end of last year. It was due to launch at the start of this year, but we hit a few problems. But now we're almost ready to go and I'm rather excited. Any people at uni reading this who do journalism should waddle over to www.myspace.com/uoljournalism and add the society to their friends list.

About me

  • I'm Dave. I am currently at university in Lincoln. I don't claim to be a great photographer - nor even a good one - but I do like capturing moments on my nifty little cameraphone. I also like comments, so get typing.
